Basingstoke Hoima Partnership For Health

Our Aim "To work with the people of Hoima Uganda to improve the delivery of healthcare"

Plain Sailing

Today we drove a van load of around 40 boxes of knitwear and medical supplies down to Portsmouth, where the charity "Don't Hate, Donate" have very kindly allowed us to buy some space in their container and offered to sort all the customs paperwork for us too.  The container will leave for Uganda in early June and will take around 8 weeks to arrive in Kampala. It is the first container they've sent to Uganda and all being well, will go out again on a regular basis. We are really grateful for their support and help, especially as it's getting increasingly hard to get supplies out there with airline baggage limits and high excess costs when flying out with a team.
