Successes of 2017/8

Basingstoke Hoima Partnership For Health

Our Aim "To work with the people of Hoima Uganda to improve the delivery of healthcare"

Successes of 2017/8

During the last year, BHPH has sent out 43 volunteers over 6 trips. 21 volunteers had been out to Hoima at least once before.

Using funds raised, we have managed to purchase 6 hand held pulse oximeters and battery chargers, 4 ventouse sets, had 20 sets of theatre drapes and gowns custom made for HRRH, plus bought a number of consumables such as dressings, sutures, medicines and more. We have also donated 2 nebulizers and 4 cardiac monitors

We have also initiated "Hoima Hand Gel" project, allowing staff to make alcohol gel locally more cheaply according to World Health Organisation directions
